Just bought one.

I have has a Targus ACP70USZ for several years and needed a second. Since surround sound and more than two USB 3.0 sockets were not an issue but dual simultaneous 1920x1080 displays were this is the one I selected. Since the ports are the same as my Targus and the same DisplayLink driver software wo...

Re: PVR Hard Drive Suggestions

Is the drive formatted NTFS ? As I recall, the 180 does not recognize FAT32 or EXFAT. Now you should not try to create a partition over 2 GB with NTFS so with a 3GB drive you will need to create two partitions, one 2GB and the second 1GB then format both NTFS. I have not checked but the 180 may only...

Re: HW180STB Confusion

AFAIR the original 180 was not able to record. The "new" version has the recod function but you need to provide the storage (flash drive, SSD). Also a flash needs to be class 10 or U1. Slower devices may have dropouts. Thought I posted this way back when.

Re: USB max size and format questions

The problem with FAT32 is a single file can only be 4GB and it is easy for a HD program or movie to exceed that. NTFS does not have that limit.

I have used 64GB drives with NP.

Re: HDMI signal disppears 4-5 seconds after turn-on

"Signal Lost" means it is working but not receiving. If another device works on the same cable then it is most likely a tuner defect but I'd try connecting a DVD player or some other RF input first. Did you try going to the menu and scanning for channels ?

Re: HW180STB Not recognizing 2 hard drives but will Flashdri

How are the disks formatted ? I think the 180 is only reliable with NTFS and not FAT32.

Re: HeadPhone output

TYGTSE. Many TVs these days do not and for a monitor to have a sound output you would need an HDMI with audio input.

Currently I am using one of these to drive a VGA monitor and split the sound output.

Re: Timeshift change request

Sounds like the "pause" on my cable box. It is a nice feature particularly when a show has commercials but you do not want to just record.

HeadPhone output

A headphone jack on the 180 would be nice to have when viewing on a monitor.
