It's been documented that you can use only one interface at a time, but can you have both USB and ESATA cable connected to pc at the same time?

Let's assume you can and you have 4 drives in the enclosure and you are on ESATA. If you are on ESATA and you switch to USB, will the computer drop the drives until the USB connection is finalized?

USB port provides USB power.
connecting both cables at same times is not recommended. It could short the board.
