10 TB Red NAS drives

Postby Musicman38 » February 1st, 2020, 6:21 pm

Purchased a ProRaid HFR2-SU3S2 about a year ago and just got 4 10TB Reds for it.
When I boot up one drive shows red LED inside case. I swap around drives and red LED follows drive.
Can this box can handle 10 TB drives?
Also, is there a proper link to the firmware so I can make sure I'm on the latest version?

Would you suspect a bad drive?

Yes, Rev.03 and it was the drive. Returned to Amazon with no issues and ordered and received new drive.
Installed the replacement and all working perfectly!!
Removed old Mediasonic 8 bay proraid with zero issues. It reported up time of 8 years with no failures using 8-3tb Reds!!
Love these machines!!
Thanks for your assistance! Still looking for firmware to flash if required.

Running 2 HFR2-SU3S2 Rev. 03s with 4-10tb Reds and 4-8tb Reds totalling 52tb Raid 5 secure storage with zero issues!
Fast and extremely responsive on WHS 2011 using Drive Bender for drive pooling. Best investments I've ever made!
I am a totally happy camper! Keep up the great work Mediasonic!
(ps- I do not work for Mediasonic, lol!)
