try with 2 drives slot 1 and 2 (A&B)
set to Raid 0 stripping. See if it works
if ok, then remove the 2 drives and put other 2 (C&D) and to the same, sent to Raid 0

then try A&C
and B&D
does all combination work? in Raid 0?

hi, i eventually got it responding to a new raid array but was running incredibly slow at responding. I've just swapped the drives out with another set to test and the same issue is happening where the unit will power up and then suddenly turn off with the H+ error.

It appears that the issue must be the device and in some way must be faulty. It's a shame that it's out of warranty.

you should check your drives SMART info
if you haven't to see if there are any errors in them
