HFR2-SU3S2FW ProRaid 4 Bay - ERROR

Postby JCReifenberg » August 27th, 2015, 12:02 pm

I have the HFR2-SU3S2FW ProRaid 4 Bay. Yesterday when I turned on the unit I got the H error. None of the LEDs next to the drives are lit up. The drive will not mount on OS X using USB or Firewire. I have 4 Seagate 3TB drives in the unit as RAID5. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get my drive to mount so I can back it up? Or how to check which HDD is bad? Am I able to rebuild the RAID if I can find which drive is causing problems? Do I need to have the drive mounted to a computer for it to rebuild or will it do it with just the hardware?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm desperate!

if you are using regular desktop drives which are only good for Raid 0 , 1 and 10
then you got Raid array corruption
you can try using disk drill http://www.cleverfiles.com/?gclid=CMG-l ... aQodVl4B9A
to repair
if does not work, then create a new Raid 5 array using existing drive but do not format it. Then use disk drill to recover data
