Updated software for Mac OS X?

The software in you pinned post does not work on recent OS X implementations.
Jmicron HW Raid Manager Software for 4 Bay and 8 Bay Raid For HFR2-SU3S2, HFR2-SU3S2FW and H8R2-SU3S2
Jmicron Raid Manager for Mac.

Is there more recent software that works?

As is it I have set RAID 0 striped via the switches, but when forced to use Disk Utility to format the drive (OS X Extended Journaled), it reports a full 16T available from 4x4T drives. I would have expected striped to be 8T.

To partially answer this question, I have found that the error -60031 which this software generates is indicative of it being out-of-date with newer versions of OS X e.g. https://github.com/codebutler/firesheep/issues/209

Rather than RAID 0 striped, I configured the drives as "Single". Now each drive appeared independently. Then created a software RAID 0 using Disk Utility. I am getting write/read speeds of 210/229 MB/s as measured by the Black Magic Disk Speed test app.
