Support and Discussion for HFR2-SU3S2 ProRaid - For PC Users

Postby RobertJ25501 » May 24th, 2019, 6:17 pm

I have this 4 bay unit and one of the 6TB HD went bad so I got another disk and replaced it.

Before I replaced it I ejected the disk for my Mac because I kept getting errors from Time Capsule.

The box and drives are still on...but is is still ejected from my MacBook Pro.

When I replaced the drive the error and rebuild light cam on as expected.

My question is does the box have to be connected to the computer for the rebuild to work?

Then can I just power down the unit ad restart it so that it connects back to the MacBook?

Will powering down the unit hurt the hard drive that I just installed?

I remounted the box during the rebuild and there were no issues.

It took about 12 hours to complete.
