RAID Corruption

Postby Yangorang » September 9th, 2015, 4:25 am

I have an old HFR2-SU3S2FW enclosure that has been working for years now but today finally when I was unzipping a file I heard some odd sounds from it, WIndows 10 threw some sort of Drive Corrupted message in the bottom right corner, and now Windows can not seem to read it at all.

Within device manager I can still populate the correct volume information, but I cannot open the actual drive at all to view any files. It just makes a bunch of loading sounds and then does nothing. No error LEDs are lit on the enclosure. What should I try or what additional information should I gather for further troubleshooting?

Nevermind I got into quite a panic but it looks like I've fixed it. I used Partition Wizard's Check File System to detect and correct all errors and it went and corrected a bunch of the stuff according to the log. Afterwards the volume appeared again. Crisis averted.
