replacing a HDD in a RAID 1 setup, procedures please.
Please can you show step by step procedure in upgrading to a larger HDD and replacing a faulty HDD in a RAID 1 setup.

You can't update to larger drive by replacing a faulty drive.
The large drive will be rebuild into the size of the small drive
To change to larger drive, you need to back up the data and create a new Raid 1 array with large drives, then copy data back
if one drive was faulty then remove the good drive. (that would be your back up)
create a new Raid 1 array with 2 new larger drives.
then put the old small drive into a single bay enclosure or inside the computer (if you have a desktop)
and copy data into the new Raid 1 array
