HW150PVR calendar date is off by 5 days
HW150PVR calendar date is off by 5 days
Ever since I turned it on, the date is 5 days less than the current date. I can't find a way to change it. Anybody know how?
Re: HW150PVR calendar date is off by 5 days
The 150PVR doesn't have a clock or calander. It uses the current station clock and date info.
Do all stations have the 5 day delay?

Re: HW150PVR calendar date is off by 5 days
Every listing of programs on every channel shows the 5-day 'delay'; every file name of recorded programs has the "delayed" date in it; for example, things recorded this morning have 07142015 in the filename.

Does the EPG show the correct day of week and time but wrong date?
I'm curious what the date would be on the first few days of the month.
I know it's a long shot but try a System / Restore Factory Default.
Do you have a TV with an EPG to verify the correct date from each station?

There's a few threads on this subject. Use the search box on this site with terms like 5 day, clock, firmware.
Most likely you have old firmware. Start by contacting the poster of the Mediasonic posts here for info on that. Include your system info in your message.
Update:
I searched those terms and the threads I was sure I'd read aren't there.
I still recommend making sure your firmware is up to date.

Re: HW150PVR calendar date is off by 5 days
My TV's program guide shows the correct day of the week and date as does a D/A converter (DTV Pal) on another older TV. I went through a couple of Factory Default Resets when setting it up hoping to fix another problem (HDMI output signal goes away after 4 Seconds from power-up - a separate thread). I'm reticent to do it at this time as I'll lose several channels due to the current weather conditions, and since I did it early on, I doubt there'll be any difference in the date problem.

Do you mean you think firmware is the issue, but don't want to upgrade right now?
That's valid, but new firmware fixes a couple other things, the big one for me was the repeat recording bug.
You can get the download by reading this:

You don't have to install it right away, but when you do you'll need the media in fat32 format.

Installed firmware upgrade - problem fixed.
