Syba 2 SD-SA2PEX-2E Crashing Windows 10 Pro

Postby poppy » April 14th, 2018, 11:33 am

I bought a Syba 2 Port eSATA II PCIe X1 Controller Card Components SD-SA2PEX-2E https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NTM9SY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for my H82-SU352 based on the recommendation I saw from the administrators to what card to use for the H82-SU352. I installed the drivers from http://www.sybausa.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=168.

The driver SI3132.sys is causing my Windows 10 Pro to crash all the time. I uninstalled the driver and put the H82-SU352 back on USB.

Anybody else having crashing issues? Is there another card or driver you recommend?

I tried the StarTech PEXESAT32 2 Port SATA 6 Gbps PCI Express eSATA Controller Card, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003GSGMPU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That can only see 6 drives, it's supposed to be a multiplexer.

This forum is DEAD DEAD DEAD. Anybody has any recommendation?

We didn't have problem with this card on Win 10
did you try drivers from here http://www.sybausa.com/index.php?route= ... uct_id=168

if driver still giving you issue, check with Syba see if they have a solution

this is the best card, as both port will support at least 8 drives.
other card support up to 6 drives and port multiplier 1 port at a time

I had to reinstall Windows and decided to give this card another shot. With a new install of the latest Windows 10 Pro 64 bit install, Windows 10 detected and installed the drivers for the Syba 2 SD-SA2PEX-2E card. I see in the Device Manager:

Silicon Image Sil 3132 SATALink Controller

Windows 10 is still crashing when using SCSCI port for the Mediasonic 8 Bay. Note, I only have 6 drives in the 8 bay since USB 3.0 can only see 6 drives.

I have downloaded the drivers from sybausa.com. How do I go about replacing the drivers that Windows 10 installed.

Do I just right click on 'sippd.inf' file and select Install? There's three Windows folder:

Win_64bit
Windows
Windows 7

Which one do I use for Windows 10?

Meanwhile, I'm back to using USB again.

you want to go to device manager and under Silicon Image Sil 3132 SATALink Controller
right click on it and select update driver, then point to the driver you downloaded

or just uninstall the windows driver and then reinstall with drivers you downloaded
